On Saturday, June 27, Hearts for Elders volunteers spent three hours making crafts with the residents of Sunrise Senior Living.
Volunteers sat side by side with residents, cutting, gluing, and decorating together. Every finished piece was a little different, and residents were proud to show off what they made.
The crafts were only part of it. Conversations flowed the whole time, as residents shared stories and got to know our volunteers. It was a relaxed, creative afternoon that left everyone smiling.
